Ireland Buss brings track-speed upside and outfield depth to Iowa State
Ireland Buss is an Iowa State outfielder whose biggest calling card is athleticism: her roster bio notes she was a 4x200 relay champion as a junior and a state runner-up as a senior, a profile that usually translates to range, burst, and competitive edge in the outfield[1]. She does not yet have a large public statistical footprint in the 2026 results provided, so her value is best read as upside, roster flexibility, and high-energy defense rather than proven production[2][4]. For a team, she looks like a fit if you want a fast, multi-sport athlete who can grow into a disruptive presence.[1][3]
