Strike-throwing Penn freshman with Friday-night upside
In the 2025 season, Sebastian Haggard flashed legit impact stuff for Penn: he earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week after 2.1 scoreless innings in his debut, then later delivered a seven-inning, eight-strikeout gem against Harvard and posted a 3.86 ERA with 34 strikeouts in 25.2 innings. He’s a big-bodied 6'4" righty who already shows poise, strike-throwing confidence, and the ability to miss bats—classic starter traits. His 2026 season was missed due to injury, so the main question is health; if he’s right, he looks like a high-upside arm worth betting on.
