Freshman catcher Mac Dawsey is a developing bat with real upside for Northern Colorado
In the 2026 season, Northern Colorado freshman catcher Mac Dawsey appeared in 12 games with two starts and hit .083, so the raw production is still a work in progress, but his frame and catcher profile suggest long-term upside[1][2]. At 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, he brings a solid build for the position and chose UNC for the coaching staff and development fit, which says the staff sees growth potential and a player wired to improve[1]. If you need an athlete with upside, toughness, and a developmental runway rather than instant offensive pop, he’s a worthwhile follow.
