Brendan Buecker is a steady, contact-first backstop giving Monmouth real value behind the plate
In the 2026 season, Monmouth catcher Brendan Buecker has been a productive everyday piece, hitting .289 with a .366 on-base percentage, 41 hits, 28 RBIs, 8 doubles, and 52 total bases across 45 games. He looks like a grinder with pop-up value: right-handed, physical at 5'10"/190, and capable of driving in runs while handling catcher duties. The stat line says “reliable,” and the box scores back it up with timely hits and hit-by-pitch toughness—exactly the kind of no-drama, team-fit catcher coaches tend to love.
