Brayden Sweeney is a rangy, high-upside Purdue freshman linebacker
Sweeney arrives at Purdue as a three-star 2026 recruit with a legit pedigree: all-state honors, a state title, and a reputation for physicality and range. In high school, he flashed production as a defender who could blitz, tackle in space, and close fast—traits that translate nicely to linebacker. The big selling point is upside: at 6-foot-2 and around 215 pounds, he’s a long, athletic mover who should fit a modern, speed-driven defense. If you want a developmental linebacker with length, aggression, and growth potential, he’s worth a close look.
