Tulane’s Josh Sims brings downhill pop and legit ball skills to the secondary
In the 2024 high school season at Pearl-Cohn, Josh Sims posted 173 total tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 4 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, and a pick-six, which explains why Tulane wanted him in the DB room fast. He’s a physical, aggressive defensive back with a nose for contact, strong instincts, and real playmaking upside—more thumper than finesse, but with enough coverage juice to matter. As a 6-foot, 192-pound redshirt freshman, he looks like a future fit for a defense that values toughness, versatility, and attitude.
