Elijah Joiner brings veteran guard poise and two-way edge to Iona
In the 2021-22 season at Iona, Elijah Joiner averaged 11.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and shot 40.2% from the field while giving the Gaels a steady, physical backcourt presence[5][8]. He’s the kind of older guard coaches love: handles the ball, creates enough offense, competes hard defensively, and has enough toughness to run an attack when the game gets choppy[4][10]. His value is less “highlight reel” and more “reliable adult in the room,” which makes him a strong fit for teams needing leadership, composure, and a versatile connector at the guard spot[4][12].
