Lefty depth arm with strikeout upside, but command is the swing skill
Rushing is a Memphis left-hander whose profile is built on bat-missing ability and multi-inning flexibility: he struck out 21 in 14.1 innings in 2025 after punching out 25 in 24 innings in 2024, but his walk totals have been high and the ERA has been volatile (6.91 in 2025, 12.00 in 2024). He looks like a good fit if your staff wants a competitive, strikeout-oriented reliever who has already shown he can handle SEC-level competition, but the command and run prevention still need to tighten before he profiles as a trusted late-game piece.[1][3]
