Tanner Jones brings size, defensive upside, and a long runway at UCF
Jones is a 6-foot-4 freshman guard for UCF with a reputation as a versatile, defense-first piece who can add length and physicality on the perimeter. In UCF’s own evaluation, he was described as a guard with great size and a commitment to the defensive side of the ball, but he redshirted in 2025-26 because of injury and did not see game action, so his college production is still a blank canvas. The appeal is upside: if healthy, he looks like a developmental fit for a team that wants length, effort, and two-way potential.
