Houston’s busiest arm, with draftable stuff and steady strike-throwing
In the 2026 season, Alex Solis emerged as Houston’s most-used pitcher, leading the Cougars in appearances while posting a career-high 37 strikeouts over 37.2 innings and limiting opponents to a .285 average. He also showed real multi-inning reliability, including a five-inning perfect relief outing against Sam Houston early in the year, and his 2.40 ERA through six outings was good enough to land him on the Pitcher of the Year Watch List. The Giants grabbed him in the 14th round, which says the industry likes the arm.
