Matteo Blandino brings big-bodied clutch catching pop to UC Davis
In the 2025 season, Matteo Blandino showed value as a power-built C/1B who can deliver in pressure moments, including a two-run single in UC Davis’ late rally over UC Irvine and a pinch-hit single that spoiled a no-hit bid against Cal Poly. He also earned Big West Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognition, hinting at the kind of dependable, team-first presence coaches love. At 6'2", 240, he profiles as a physical right-handed bat with matchup utility and a grind-it-out mentality — a fit for teams wanting toughness, depth, and sneaky clutch offense.
