Georgia Tech’s long, physical DB with upside and ball skills
Nico Dowdell entered Georgia Tech as a three-star safety from Loganville, ranked by ESPN as the No. 64 safety nationally and No. 97 prospect in Georgia in his high-school class. Georgia Tech’s roster bio lists him at 6-0, 191 pounds and notes he was a two-way high school playmaker with 47 tackles, three interceptions, four pass breakups, and 446 receiving yards with 10 touchdowns. He redshirted in 2023 and had no game action in his true-freshman season, so the appeal is upside: size, range, and ball production. A good fit if you want a developmental defensive back with upside, not an instant-fix star.
