Freshman righty flashing shutdown stuff for Hawai'i
In the 2026 season, Maryn Macneil gave Hawai'i a glimpse of a future rotation anchor, highlighted by a complete-game, one-hit shutout in her first collegiate start and a Big West Freshman of the Week honor. The right-hander is a power arm with reported 62-63 mph velocity, and Hawai'i’s staff has praised her as a pitcher-hitter type who can also contribute offensively. She looks like a fit for teams that value strike-throwing potential, poise in big spots, and two-way upside rather than just raw box-score volume.
