the Sycamores’ do-it-all floor general
In his Indiana State career, Jake Odum was a steady, high-IQ guard who paired scoring with playmaking: 1,568 points, 603 assists, and 204 steals, while also ranking among the program’s all-time leaders in games played, starts, and free throws made. In his senior season (2013-14), he averaged 13.1 points and 4.6 assists per game, showing the classic Odum blend of control and competitiveness. His differentiators were toughness, pace control, and two-way reliability—less flashy than explosive, more “winning basketball” than highlight machine.
