Joey Wright is the glue guy powering UC Davis’ middle infield
In the 2026 season, Joey Wright has been a high-contact, high-impact senior for UC Davis, hitting .244 overall with a .376 on-base percentage, 38 hits, nine doubles, two homers, 17 RBIs and 25 runs scored, while also drawing 25 walks and turning 42 double plays from second base. He earned All-Big West Honorable Mention and brings value beyond the box score: steady glove work (.990 fielding percentage), strong strike-zone discipline, and enough pop to punish mistakes in conference play, where he hit .324. He looks like a fit for teams wanting a reliable, experienced, winning-minded middle infielder.
