Contact-missing upside, with a growing strikeout profile on the Evansville mound
Roberts entered Evansville as a decorated Michigan prep arm and has shown the kind of pitchability teams want from a right-hander: at Monroe High, he went 5-1 with a 1.85 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 37.2 innings, and as a sophomore in 2025 he delivered a career-best five innings with six strikeouts against Belmont. He profiles as a competitor who can miss bats and give a staff usable innings; the main question for a fit is consistency, since his 2024 debut season was brief and uneven.
