High-upside BC tight end with NFL-sized frame, but limited production
In the 2024 season, Matt Ragan flashed as a developmental tight end for Boston College, finishing with 1 catch for 11 yards while working behind the depth chart, and his profile still screams upside thanks to his 6-foot-5, 246-pound frame and former four-star pedigree. He was a captain and starting tight end in high school, and the appealing part is the room to grow: size, recruit-grade pedigree, and enough versatility to project as a move/blocking TE if the motor and consistency keep climbing. The caution flag is simple—production has been sparse, and he later moved on from BC, so he’s more “bet on traits” than polished plug-and-play.
