Luke Williams brings left-handed pop, on-base skills, and real SEC-level transfer pedigree to Jax State
In the 2026 season, Luke Williams emerged as a steady everyday bat for Jacksonville State, starting 50 of 61 games and posting a .287 average with a .402 on-base percentage, 45 hits, six doubles, three homers, and 27 runs scored. His differentiator is not just contact — it’s disciplined strike-zone control and gap power, backed by a track record that includes a .467 OBP at Chipola and top-of-state high school outfielder recognition. He looks like a high-floor, lineup-stabilizing corner-piece rather than a boom-or-bust athlete.
