Jaryn Sample is a steady, high-contact third baseman with pop in the bat
In the 2026 season, Jaryn Sample entered as Delaware State’s junior third baseman and has shown he can be a reliable middle-of-the-order piece with power flashes and run production. He followed a strong 2024 freshman year (.339 with 60 hits and 28 RBI) with a solid 2025 sophomore campaign (.279, team-best 23 walks, 21 RBI), then in 2026 posted .187 over 39 starts while still contributing 12 RBI and extra-base value. His calling card is experience, defensive stability at 3B, and a competitive profile that keeps showing up in big moments.
