Jack Berg gives Hawai'i a big lefty arm with a power-track record
Jack Berg, a 6-foot-4 left-handed pitcher for Hawai'i, arrived with legitimate swing-and-miss pedigree after going 5-0 with a 0.79 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 34.1 innings at Arizona in 2025, and Hawai'i listed him as part of its veteran pitching core for 2026.[4][8] In the 2026 season, he has already shown he can handle leverage, including 1.2 scoreless innings against Long Beach State on March 14, 2026, and his profile suggests a fit for teams needing a physical, strike-throwing southpaw with upside rather than a finesse-only arm.[7][5]
