Izabella Valdez brings contact hitting, defensive versatility, and freshman-year production to CSUN
Valdez is a useful middle-infield add because she already showed she can hit for average and handle pressure: in 2025 she was a Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Week after going 6-for-11 with two doubles and three RBI, and her CSU Northridge 2026 stats show regular usage as an infielder. She also has a strong prep track record, including a .417 batting average, .477 OBP, 40 hits, 39 RBI and a .974 fielding percentage in 2024-25, which points to a steady, high-contact player who can help both at the plate and in the field.[3][4][7]
