Xavier Cooks is Winthrop’s all-around wrecking ball
Xavier Cooks gives Winthrop a rare two-way engine: in the 2017-18 season, he was the Big South Player of the Year, and across his Eagles career he became the program’s all-time leader in rebounds and blocks while finishing with 1,778 points. He’s valuable because he impacts winning beyond scoring — rebounding, rim protection, passing, and defensive activity all travel — so he fits best with teams that want a physical, high-motor G/F who can stuff the box score and elevate the intensity level.
