a veteran Torero linebacker with deep program ties
Joshua Calista appears on the San Diego Toreros roster in the 2026 season, but the available public sources here do not show current game stats, rankings, or recent scouting blurbs for him. The main differentiator is pedigree and familiarity: he has longstanding ties to USD football, which often matters at linebacker because coaches value alignment, trust, and steady assignment football. If you’re looking for a proven, data-heavy impact profile, the public trail is thin; if you want a player with program knowledge and likely coachability, he’s worth a closer look.
