Gabriella DeLuca is Mercyhurst’s rookie two-way engine
DeLuca emerged in her 2026 freshman season as Mercyhurst’s most dangerous all-around player, leading the team in batting average (.395), OPS (1.131), home runs (8), RBIs (35), hits (47), doubles (13), and total bases (84) while also pitching in 18 games and starting 12 in the circle. She pairs real middle-of-the-order pop with two-way toughness, and reports note multiple NEC Prime Performer honors plus a Rookie of the Week award. For a team, she looks like a high-upside competitor who can impact games both at the plate and in the circle.[2][5]
