Ezekiel Barnett brings veteran, all-purpose linebacker value to Louisiana Tech
Barnett’s calling card is steady, versatile linebacker play: in the 2021 season, he started all 12 games and finished sixth on the team with 46 tackles, while also earning All-Conference USA honorable mention in both 2020 and 2021[1][3]. He’s been praised as a coverage-capable defender who can carry tight ends downfield, and earlier in his career he showed playmaking flashes with two interceptions in 2020, including a 60-yard pick-six[3][4]. The fit is clear for a team wanting experienced, assignment-sound toughness with some sneaky coverage juice[1][3].
