Proven, Physical, High-Production EIU Linebacker
Joe Caputo is a battle-tested Eastern Illinois linebacker whose profile screams reliability: at 6-foot-2, 235 pounds, he finished his Panthers career with 233 tackles and 19 tackles for loss, and was named to Phil Steele’s preseason All-OVC team, signaling respect from outside evaluators. [3][1] His differentiator is steady, downhill production rather than flash—he brings size, run support, and proven tackling volume, making him a strong fit for teams that value a disciplined, physical defender who can anchor the middle and do the dirty work.
