undersized, instinctive Fresno State linebacker with room to pop
Ryan Machado is a 6-foot, 210-pound junior linebacker for Fresno State from Ripon, Calif., and the appeal here is his speed-and-instinct profile rather than flashy stat volume[2]. Earlier Fresno State coverage described him as a player who battled for snaps at outside linebacker and noted a style reminiscent of a young Manuel Sanchez, with the kind of spring-to-fall development that can turn a depth piece into a useful run-and-chase defender[5]. He’s the sort of fit coaches like when they want energy, competitiveness, and a guy who can keep climbing rather than coast.
