Brian Michaelson is Gonzaga’s veteran backcourt mind, not a current player
Brian Michaelson is not a current Gonzaga player; he is Gonzaga’s assistant coach and former guard, so there are no active performance stats to evaluate for the 2025-26 season. His value is in basketball IQ, player development, and program continuity—Gonzaga has trusted him long enough to name him Mark Few’s eventual successor, which signals strong internal respect and leadership credibility. If you are looking for a guard profile, he’s better viewed as a coaching fit than an on-court recruit: organized, experienced, and deeply embedded in Gonzaga’s system.
