LIU’s Young QB With Size, Local Roots, and a Development-Heavy Upside
In the latest available profile, Kevin Melore is a 6-foot-2, 194-pound sophomore quarterback from Smithtown, N.Y., giving LIU a local passer with legitimate frame and multi-year experience in the program[1]. His standout differentiators are size, captain-level pedigree from high school, and the fact that LIU originally identified him as a quarterback with over 2,500 career passing yards before he joined the Sharks[2]. The big question is ceiling: there is not enough publicly available recent stat production to sell him as a finished product, but he looks like the kind of developmental QB who can reward patience if you want tools, not just box-score flash[1][2].
