Abdou Sane brings energy, size, and defensive versatility to San Diego
Abdou Sane is a 6-foot-7 forward/center for the San Diego Toreros whose value comes from his length, physicality, and ability to compete across the frontcourt. In the 2024-25 season, he was a low-usage, high-effort contributor, averaging 1.3 points and 1.9 rebounds while shooting 31.4% from the field, per ESPN—numbers that point to a role player still carving out his identity. What makes him interesting is the frame and versatility to guard multiple spots, rebound in traffic, and give a team hustle minutes; if you want polish right now, he’s more work in progress than finished product.
