experienced Samford guard with a quiet, low-minute college résumé
In the 2022-23 season, Clay Holmes appeared in three games for Samford, after two-game seasons in 2020-21 and 2021-22, so his college stat line is limited and doesn’t yet show a major on-court role[1][3]. The clear separator is pedigree and development: a Brentwood Academy product listed at 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, Holmes was a three-year letterwinner at Samford and has the frame of a tough, physical guard who can fit a team-first system[1][6].
