lefty arm with real projection and Hawaii ties
Waite is a left-handed pitcher whose appeal is his projectable arm, with recruiting data showing a 91 mph top fastball, a solid 87 mph working fastball, and usable off-speed pitches that hint at starter potential[1]. He also brings pedigree and competitiveness: he was part of a Hawaii state championship team and a Senior Little League World Championship team, and his high school coach described steady growth in velocity, command, maturity, and determination[5]. For a staff looking for a developing lefty with upside and a competitive edge, he’s a name worth tracking[1][5].
