Liam Royster brings starter-size frame and swing-and-miss upside to Norfolk State's staff
In the 2024 season, Royster logged 51.2 innings with 36 strikeouts for Norfolk State, and in 2025 he showed he could work both as a starter and reliever, including a pair of scoreless innings against Wagner and a five-inning, five-strikeout outing earlier in the year. His appeal is the build: at 6-foot-7, he gives a right-handed staff a downhill look and innings-eating profile that can play in multiple roles. The raw results were uneven, but the strikeout ability and size make him a worthwhile arm if a team wants upside and flexibility.
