Hamid Dawson brings veteran defensive-line grit to WSSU
Hamid Dawson appears to be a veteran Winston-Salem State defensive lineman with a long college-football footprint, and the clearest on-record game evidence shows him making disruptive plays in the 2006 season for WSSU, including a tackle-for-loss and a forced fumble in one game. He profiles as the kind of interior presence coaches like: physical, assignment-sound, and willing to do the dirty work that doesn’t always show up in flashy box scores. For a team wanting toughness, experience, and a blue-collar DL tone-setter, Dawson looks like a solid culture fit.
