Chris Redding adds Houston-versatile depth with track-tested athleticism
Chris Redding is an intriguing Houston OL because his profile hints at more than just bulk: he arrived at UH from Northshore High School and has documented athletic traits from spring 2024 long jump and triple jump marks, which suggests real lower-body explosiveness for the position.[2] As an interior/line depth fit, that kind of movement ability can translate into leverage, balance, and recovery power—useful traits for zone blocking or any scheme that values quick feet over pure mass.[2] There isn’t enough public statistical evidence to label him a finished product, but his athletic background makes him a worthwhile developmental target for teams that value upside and coaching runway.[2]
