Daniel Charles is an active, tackling-oriented East Carolina DB with room to climb
Daniel Charles has shown early value for East Carolina as a safety/DB who contributes in run support and around the ball, with 33 tackles and 24 assisted tackles in the 2024 season and 2 passes defended, giving him a profile built more on reliability and physical presence than splash plays. He’s listed at 6-0, 184 and is enrolled with ECU as a junior, which fits a developmental defensive-back target who can handle contact and stay available. The main appeal is his steady, assignment-sound floor; the question is whether he can turn that into more disruption in coverage.
