Vick Akinyemi brings size-and-speed upside to Western Illinois’ receiver room
Akinyemi looks like a classic vertical-threat wideout for Western Illinois, listed at 6-foot-1, 210 pounds, with reported 108 receptions, 1,400 yards and 27 touchdowns on his roster profile; another scouting profile describes him as a 6-foot-2, 205-pound receiver with verified 4.50 speed, which is the kind of size-speed combo that can stress coverages and create easy fit value for a team hunting explosiveness. He’s the sort of player who can win downfield and in contested situations, and the profile history suggests polish, production, and a little “throw it up and let him go to work” energy.
