Deshawna Harper brings veteran shot-making and defensive grit to Alabama A&M
Deshawna Harper is a seasoned Alabama A&M guard whose value comes from experience, toughness, and timely scoring rather than pure volume. In the 2020-21 season, she averaged 15.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, while hitting 37.0% from three; earlier in her career, she also earned SWAC Player of the Week honors after a 26-point outing against Alabama State, showing she can swing games when she gets rolling. She looks like the kind of steady, high-IQ backcourt piece coaches trust in pressure moments.
