John Albert – Former Samford WR With Scout-Team Grit and High-IQ Route Potential
John Albert, a 5'11" wide receiver who redshirted for Samford in 2013 and worked primarily on the Bulldogs’ scout team, is less about box-score production and more about work ethic and role-player upside.[2] Coming out of Roswell High School in Georgia, he built his game on precise routes, attention to detail, and doing the unglamorous practice work that helps an offense prepare every week.[2] While he never emerged as a stat-sheet star at Samford, coaches valued his competitiveness and reliability—traits that translate best for programs seeking a high-character depth receiver and strong practice-culture fit rather than a volume target.
