Veteran Cornerback with All-Star Prep Pedigree
Morris Gates brings a compact, physical profile to Montana State, listed at 5-9, 185, with a background as a Palo Alto standout who earned all-league and all-section honors while starring as both a runner and defender in high school. He returned to MSU as a reserve cornerback and, based on the roster bio, was not eligible for competition after transferring back, so the immediate value is depth, experience, and a player who has already shown he can handle multiple roles and play with toughness.
