FDU Knights Utility Ace with Elite Speed and RBI Clutch Factor
Sophia Ayala stands out as Fairleigh Dickinson’s most versatile utility player, combining elite base-stealing speed (stole second in 2026 vs. Saint Peter’s) with clutch RBI production (grounded out for RBI in 2026 vs. Stonehill). Her differentiator isn’t just stats—it’s her relentless intensity and personality: a Roseville, CA native who started 8 games in 2024 and 2 in 2025, showing steady growth despite limited starts. With a 0.333 batting average in 2024 home games and a .880 OPS in 2024 cumulative stats, she’s a high-fit for teams needing speed, defensive flexibility (2B/3B/1B), and a player who elevates intensity in tight moments. No injury history reported; her consistency and adaptability make her a reliable, game-changing asset.
