veteran Toledo kicker with proven prep accuracy and roster-value experience
Clay Simpkins is a senior **place kicker** for Toledo who arrived as a walk-on and earned a spot on the depth chart, giving him the kind of under-the-radar reliability teams value at specialist. Toledo’s roster lists him at 5-10, 165, and notes he was No. 3 on the preseason depth chart in 2013, while his Wauseon High career featured strong all-around kicking production, including a 47-yard field goal and solid punting numbers. He profiles as a steady, low-drama depth option rather than a splashy star.
