South Dakota’s 5'11" lefty pitcher with upside and stability in the circle
Mya Halverson gives South Dakota a long, projectable pitching profile at 5'11", and the main reason to care is her combination of size, repeatable starter experience, and ability to miss bats when she’s in rhythm. The clearest documented college production in the provided sources shows her as a 2021 pitcher who logged 80 innings, struck out 77, and posted a 3.68 ERA, which suggests a legitimate strikeout arm rather than just a fill-in arm. Her fit is strongest for a staff looking for a dependable, developing rotation piece with a higher ceiling than the typical depth pitcher.
