Iowa's Gritty Backup RB with Untapped Potential
Paki O'Meara, Iowa Hawkeyes running back from Cedar Rapids, IA, has shown reliable depth with career stats of 30 carries for 78 yards and 2 TDs (2.6 YPC per ESPN), excelling in special teams like blocking and recovering punts as seen in his 2010 EIU game highlights. A team-first player who does the dirty work without complaint—per HawkeyeNation forums—his fumble issues early on sidelined him, but his toughness and local loyalty make him a low-risk, high-effort fit for teams needing versatile depth. Watch for breakout if injuries open carries; he's Iowa-bred intensity personified.
