Nu’u Contrades brings impact bat, power, and veteran edge to Arizona State
Contrades is a high-upside, right-handed infielder whose value is bigger than the box score: when healthy, he has been one of Arizona State’s most dangerous bats, pairing solid contact skills with real extra-base pop, aggressive base-running, and a knack for getting on base. In 2025, he hit .304 with 6 home runs and 14 steals before a hand injury ended his season, and multiple reports note improved plate discipline and strong infield defense. The key fit question is durability, but if you want an energetic middle-of-the-order or lineup-setting bat with toughness and swagger, he’s absolutely worth the look.
