Dan Frederick brings compact power and big-play burst to Elon’s backfield
In the 2025 season, Elon senior RB Dan Frederick posted 244 rushing yards on 51 carries with 3 touchdowns, then opened 2026 with 58 yards on 9 carries as the Phoenix beat Glenville State 42-7[1][2][3]. At 6-foot-2 and 218 pounds, he’s a downhill runner with enough juice to pop chunk gains, and Elon’s own recap singled out his 31-yard burst as a momentum-swinger[3][4]. He looks like a useful fit for a team that wants a physical, reliable reserve back who can punish tired fronts and finish drives.[3][4]
