Jaylen Merchant brings veteran right-handed depth to Alabama State’s bullpen
Merchant is a senior right-handed pitcher at Alabama State who profiles as a useful late-inning arm: earlier career notes show strikeout ability, including 11 Ks in 10.1 innings in 2024, which hints at swing-and-miss potential. He’s the kind of pitcher who can help if your staff needs a mature strike-thrower with relief experience and a proven feel for missing bats, though current 2026 game-by-game production wasn’t available in the information gathered. If you want a steady, experienced RHP who may fit best in leverage innings, he’s worth a close look.
