Citadel's Austin Wiles: Steady LS Hand Poised for Starting Leap
Austin Wiles, Citadel Bulldogs long snapper, enters fall camp competing fiercely for the starting role after a rock-solid junior 2012 season where he appeared in all 11 games, handling a majority of snaps with pinpoint accuracy—no botched snaps noted in reliable Citadel athletics records. His high school pedigree at Northwestern (Rock Hill, SC) showcases consistent performance, making him a low-risk, high-reliability specialist. Why care? Wiles brings unflappable precision under pressure, ideal for teams needing a dependable LS who elevates punting and field goal units without drama—perfect fit for FCS contenders prioritizing special teams edge.
