a steady NIU back with proven utility
Mike Scaramella is best known for being a dependable, no-drama piece in the Northern Illinois backfield, rather than a headline-grabbing star. In the 2000 season, he logged 4 carries for 15 yards for NIU, a tiny sample that suggests a depth-role runner more than a featured workload back, and later earned MAC academic recognition in the 2001-02 cycle, hinting at discipline and reliability. If you want a tough, team-first fit who can handle the unglamorous parts of the job, he’s the kind of player coaches usually trust.
