Carlos Lugo is Campbell’s high-contact spark plug with legit breakout pop
In the 2026 season, Carlos Lugo emerged as one of Campbell’s most valuable freshman bats, hitting .347 with 77 hits, 49 runs, 38 RBI, and a standout .441 on-base percentage while leading the Camels with seven multi-hit games early in the year. He won multiple CAA Rookie of the Week honors and showed real juice with a grand slam, a 13-game hitting streak, and gap power that plays in pressure spots. Add in his two-way upside as a left-handed pitcher, and he looks like an energizer with contact skills, competitiveness, and real roster flexibility.
